A hidden gem! Our stay at Aviemore Youth Hostel was exceptional. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The hostel was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The kitchen facilities were top-notch, earning a 5-star food hygiene rating. The staff were helpful and provided great information about the local area. The lounge area was spacious and had activities like a pool table and TV. This hostel is a great base for exploring Aviemore and the surrounding area. I highly recommend this hostel for its modern, clean, and friendly atmosphere.

We loved the location of this hostel as it was in the central area and close to everything that was needed. The hostel was just a five-minute walk away from the train and bus stop, making it easy to get to and from the hotel. We were also able to walk down to Tesco and buy our own food to cook. The common room was well equipped and had everything we needed for a great getaway, including a pool table and ample selection of DVDs/videos. The hotel facilities, including the kitchen, were also high-levels of cleanliness.
Almost perfect.

The communal kitchen and dining areas were spacious and clean, making it easy to prepare meals and meet fellow travelers. The hostel's location was excellent, providing easy access to nearby hiking trails. The staff at the hostel were pleasant and helpful. The information provided around the hostel was informative and made it feel like an information center. The hostel had a lovely yard with picnic benches and trees.

Situated very conveniently in Aviemore next to nature reserve but near to local shops and restaurants. Only a few miles from Landmark Adventure Park and Highland Wildlife park which were purpose of our visit with granddaughter.
No storage for clothes in bedroom but not significant inconvenience for overnight stay.

Informal and comfortable. Clean bathrooms and warm showers.
The entrance foyer is poorly lit, meaning entrance after 11pm is quite awkward.

I had an amazing time at Aviemore Youth Hostel! The location was perfect, close to the railway station and bus stop for exploring Cairngorm mountain. The kitchen had all the facilities and equipment I needed, and the lounge area was comfy and warm. Plus, the Wi-Fi was a hit with my teenage kids. Despite a few drawbacks like the cramped rooms and lack of hooks in the shower areas, overall I would highly recommend this hostel for a memorable stay in Aviemore.
